Context

This Urdu ghazal poignantly expresses the destructive intensity of love, portraying it as a consuming fever that ignites the very core of one's being. The beloved's absence or indifference causes such profound anguish that the lover feels mortally wounded, with their vitality symbolically drained to the point of a dove's blood, signifying ultimate vulnerability and suffering within the passionate tradition of Urdu poetry.
