حدیثِ بندۂ مومن دل آویز

Hadīs-e banda-e mo'min dil-āvez

جِگر پُرخوں، نفَس روشن، نِگہ تیز

Jigar pur-xūñ, nafas roshan, nigah tez

The tale of the faithful believer is captivating,
His soul is deeply passionate, his spirit bright, his gaze sharp.

میَسّر ہو کسے دیدار اُس کا

Mayassar ho kise dīdār us kā

کہ ہے وہ رونقِ محفل کم آمیز

Ke hai vo raunaq-e mahfil kam-āmez

Who can attain a glimpse of him?
For he is the glory of the gathering, yet reserved.

Context

This Urdu poem eulogizes the ideal 'Momin' (true believer), presenting a figure of profound spiritual depth and character. He is described as captivating, possessing a passionate heart, enlightened spirit, and sharp intellect. The verse highlights his paradoxical nature: he is the radiance of any gathering yet remains reclusive, making his true essence or presence elusive to ordinary perception. The poem evokes a sense of reverence for such an inwardly powerful and spiritually elevated individual.
