ہزار شکر کہ سید غلام بابا نے

Hazaar shukr ke Sayyid Ghulam Baba ne

فراز مسند عیش و طرب جگہ پائی

Faraaz-e-masnad-e-aish-o-tarab jagah paai

A thousand thanks that Syed Ghulam Baba
Found a place on the throne of joy and delight.

زمیں پہ ایسا تماشا ہوا برات کی رات

Zameen pe aisa tamasha hua baraat ki raat

کہ آسماں پہ کواکب بنے تماشائی

Ke aasmaan pe kawakib bane tamashaai

Such a spectacle happened on earth on the wedding night,
That the stars in the sky became spectators.

Context

This Urdu couplet describes a night of immense celebration, likely a wedding (baraat), where the joy and festivities are so grand that even the stars in the sky become spectators. It uses hyperbole, a common poetic device in Urdu, to emphasize the significance and splendor of the event, particularly celebrating the elevation or happiness of Syed Ghulam Baba. The tone is celebratory and expresses gratitude for the occasion.
