اُٹھ کہ خورشید کا سامانِ سفر تازہ کریں

Uthh ke khursheed ka saamaan-e safar taaza karein

نفَسِ سوختۂ شام و سحَر تازہ کریں

Nafas-e sokhta-e shaam o sahar taaza karein

Arise, that we may renew the sun's provisions for its journey,
And refresh the spirit consumed by evening and dawn.

Context

This Urdu couplet presents a powerful call to action, urging the listener to rise and actively participate in the renewal of existence. It uses the grand imagery of refreshing the sun's journey and invigorating the 'burnt breath' of dawn and dusk, metaphors for the weary passage of time or the human spirit. The lines evoke a philosophical depth common in classical Urdu poetry, suggesting a proactive engagement with life, an embrace of rejuvenation, and a spiritual awakening to overcome weariness and revitalize one's purpose.
